With our FutureView method the opportunities to retain and store water were quantified in the Province of Flevoland, The Netherlands. Especially in the Noordoostpolder and Eastern Flevoland excess water can be retained and stored in the soil. The suitability maps can be the basis in the decision making process to pinpoint locations for adjustable weirs.
