FutureWater finalized a project Adaptation to Climate Change in The Gambia.

The objectives of this project were to build and strengthen the institutional capacity, to develop and implement analytical tools for estimating and comparing the costs and benefits of adaptation projects in key natural resource sectors.

To achieve these objectives the framework was built together with our partners in The Gambia. Global and local data on climate and climate change were collected, analyzed and adjusted for site specific conditions. A detailed water-crop model was setup to evaluate the impact of climate change and different adaptation strategies.
